Gustavo Neiva de Medeiros, Chief Executive Officer
Before founding NationPhone, Gustavo founded, grew and sold Uniwear, an apparel company he launched during college. In Silicon Valley, he worked as a consultant and entrepreneur for Rotary Rocket, a space launch startup; Veridicom, a biometric startup and vTraction, a former Rabobank venture capital company. Gustavo was a participant in the ITU Rapporteur's Group on Implementation of IP telephony in developing countries. Gustavo has a Bachelors and Masters in International Business Studies from Maastricht University (The Netherlands); his thesis examines industry entry strategies. Gustavo also studied at the Harvard Business School and conducted innovation management research at Stanford University's Aeronautics Department, where he served as CFO and project leader. Gustavo gives back to the community by serving as an adjunct professor of entrepreneurial finance at Pace University where he teaches MBA students. Gustavo is fluent in Dutch, English, and Portuguese and speaks Spanish, French and German. |

Darren Blumenfeld, Chief Operating Officer
Darren was most recently Director of Technology and Product Development for Next Jump, the world's leading supplier of loyalty and perks program where he conceived and implemented technology to enhance customer experience and boost advertising revenues. During his tenure the company grew its customer base from 25 to 75 million. He was CEO and Founder of iMusicWorks, a B2B and B2C online marketplace for digital music and audio professional services rated one of the top 3 new music websites by American Songwriter Magazine. As a strategy consultant, Darren has advised such companies as American Express, News Corporation, and Credit Suisse First Boston. Early on in his career, he worked at NASA developing equipment for the Casini Space Craft. Darren received his MBA from Columbia University and Mechanical Engineering degree from Tufts University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude

David Adkins, EVP of Operations and Finance
David Adkins is NationPhone's Director of Payment Systems. Previously he served as Lead Technical Engineer of WorldPay, Inc., part of the Royal Bank of Scotland. Mr. Adkins has been planning and developing automation solutions for 8 years and has been involved in the startup of several technology companies including Antevorte, LLC., a leading provider of web hosting solutions, and DJ Holdings Group, Inc., a technology acquisition firm. He holds a wide variety of technical certifications including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Certified Novell Administration (CNA), and Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP). Mr. Adkins also holds an Associates Degree in Information Systems from Northern Virginia. |

Thanh-Nhon Ma, EVP Fixed & Mobile Telephony
Nhon started his professional career in 1999 on the trading floor of The Bank of New York. Between 2001-2006, he gained more than 5 years of experience in the carrier & wholesale industry, holding managerial positions at Belgacom International Carrier Services, MCI WorldCom and iBasis. He has been responsible for a wide-array of projects in strategy, finance, quality management and product management. An avid tennis player, Mr. Ma trained at the Nick Bolletieri Tennis Academy boot camp in Florida in his youth. During his spare time, Mr. Ma still enjoys coaching and playing tennis at Harvard University. Nhon was born in Belgium and speaks French, English and Dutch fluently. He studied at the Maastricht University and obtained his Masters in Economics from the University of Brussels (ULB). He is also a graduate in management of Harvard University. |

Glenn Manishin
Mr. Manishin
has more than two decades of significant experience in high-tech
litigation, with an emphasis on the impact of convergence and legal
uncertainty between legacy industries and the new economy. He was one
of a handful of lawyers selected by the United States Court of Appeals
for the Eighth Circuit in St. Louis to present oral argument in Iowa
Utilities Board v. FCC, the first federal appeal of the FCC’s rules
implementing the Telecommunications Act of 1996, and is the only
antitrust lawyer to have appeared as counsel-of-record in both the
United States v. AT&T and United States v. Microsoft monopolization
cases. His clients have over the years proudly comprised a veritable
who’s who roster of the IT industry leadership, including MCI,
Netscape, Oracle, Google, Excite@Home, Sun, tbe Recording Industry
Association of America, Tellme, Echelon, ProComp, EMusic, Travelocity,
NorthPoint, WildBlue, Tollbridge, Winstar, Telocity, Siebel, Sling
Media, U.S. Web and others. Mr. Manishin is a graduate of Columbia Law
School, where he was notes and comments editor of the Columbia Law
Review, and a cum laude graduate of Brandeis University. |

Mauro Panzera
Mauro Panzera
is Senior Director of Multicultural Marketing for Comcast Corporation,
where he defines, packages, and markets products and services for a $3B
revenue business unit targeting multicultural and lifestyle markets. He
was responsible for the launch of Video on Demand services targeting
these markets and generating over 18M in orders in 2007. He was also
involved in the launch of Internet based telephony products with
international long distance plans to these markets. Mauro also has
strong startup experience with communications technology companies. He
was Vice President , International Development and Marketing for
Clariti Telecommunications, which developed a patented digital
technology sending voice and data streams wirelessly using existing FM
stations. He also was Vice President & General Manager of Camanco
Communications, which developed and marketed PCRoomLink, a web-based
productivity solution connecting business travelers worldwide. He also
has over a decade of experience working as an expat overseas for
multinational companies such as Renault-Volvo, Best Foods and
Colgate-Palmolive. Mauro is fluent in Spanish, Italian, English, French
and conversational in Portuguese. |

Jim Simon
Jim
Simon's career has been marked by a record of leading distinguished
service companies to continue on high growth trajectories, and in
turning around underperforming businesses. His expertise in general
management, as well as sales and marketing management, has led to his
recruitment by preeminent companies in the financial services, real
estate and mobility segments. He has been a consultant to investment
banking and private equity firms seeking to invest in financial
services companies. As Senior Vice President of Prudential Relocation,
Jim led the effort to evaluate and redesign the organization's
strategic direction and global initiatives. Jim served as CEO of GMAC
Global Relocation Services and developed its initial strategic vision
which included a global expansion strategy focusing on expatriate
program administration for multinational corporations. Jim served
nearly fifteen years in senior positions at PHH Relocation and Cendant
Mobility, most recently as Executive Vice President of Marketing and
Sales. He was the Managing Director of Douglas Elliman, New York's
largest residential real estate firm where he reversed the troubled
performance of the historic firm and facilitated the company's
successful and profitable sale.

Cindy Gallop
Cindy read English Literature at Somerville College, Oxford, and began
working in theatre marketing before starting her advertising career at
Ted Bates in London in 1985. She worked at J Walter Thompson and Gold
Greenlees Trott before joining Bartle Bogle Hegarty in London in 1989,
where she ran large global accounts such as Coca-Cola, Polaroid and
Ray-Ban. She moved to Singapore in 1996 to help start up and run BBH
Asia Pacific, where she also ran the Levi's Asia Pacific business. In
September 1998 she moved to New York to start up BBH US, which only
four years later was named Adweek's 2002 Eastern Agency of the Year,
with clients like Johnnie Walker, Unilever and Levi's. In 2003
Advertising Women of New York voted Cindy Advertising Woman of the Year. |
